About the District

In 1978, the Central Sierra Economic Development District (CSEDD) was formed as a Joint Powers Authority (JPA), and established as an EDA‐recognized economic development district. The current member entities include Alpine, Calaveras, Mariposa and Tuolumne Counties and the Cities of Sonora an Angels Camp.

CSEDD’s board is comprised of both public and private sector members. An elected official from each county’s Board of Supervisors and an alternate are appointed for a one year term, one City Council member and an alternate are appointed from Sonora and Angels Camp.
